The stems of the leaves of the Philodendron are dotted with tiny red strands. The Florida Beauty is a climbing plant that needs good support in the form of a bamboo pole or a coconut pole. A healthy plant produces leaf after leaf during the growing season. They are fairly fast growers; by one year, twice as many leaves may be present.

In addition to being easy to maintain, the Philodendron is an airpurifying plant. The Philodendron is particularly effective in helping clean the air we breathe. The air-purifying capabilities of a Philodendron are so strong, that one Philodendron can purify a 10m² space. Of course, there is no problem putting several Philodendrons (or other plants) together in this area.
